For the past four days we've been blessed to visit with family and friends for our "last supper" with them.
It started off Thursday when we visited with Jim & Raquel's family. We've know Jim & Raquel for as long as we've been a member of CBC. But it wasn't until these past three years that we've really gotten close to them. Raquel started serving along side us in the Youth Ministry. It's been a true blessing to get to know this family. We love them and their children dearly.
Friday we headed over to the Andrew & Ruby's place. Without a doubt, every time we hangout with Drew & Ruby we stay up til' the wee hours of the morning. Most of the time, Ruby and I are making sure the kids are OK while we talk. While hubby and Drew strategize their next moves for Hero Clix. No worries though, Ruby and I don't mind so much. Ruby is one of my bestfriends! We've known each other since we were in 7th grade. She mistakenly took me as my sister then our friendship just grew. It really amazes me to see our friendship grow! We're not only best friends but we're blood bought sisters in the Lord! I'm really going to miss her and her family! Lord willing we'll see each other again!
Saturday morning, hubby went to our last Youth Ministry event. To our surprise, they presented us with a collage of the youth staff and a wonderful present from Costco. I was so bummed to have missed this special time. I stayed home with the children, because they were so tired from the night before. In the afternoon, we headed over to my brother's house for a family farewell party. It was a sweet time of fellowship. With some of our family and friends around we felt much love!
Sunday we attended our last FARUSAFA event (please don't ask me what the acronym means, I have not clue). FARUSAFA is a retired Navy group that my Father in law is a member of. They hold picnics and Christmas parties that can feed a small village. We had a great time there with family and friends. Thanks Dad for always inviting us to go!
We only have a 10 days left! We still have some going away parties to attend and a few friends to visit with. These days will go by so quickly. I'm cherishing every moment!
