I wanted to take some time to write a post that details the work that God has done in regards to the update on my beloved's job.
As you know from posts past, we were unsuccessful in securing a job after the big mess with that potential employer. We continued to send out resumes and fill out applications but they all came back empty. My beloved and I continued to trust that God would provide a job for him so we went on serving Him. We were at our last summer camp for our Youth Ministry when we got messages from the same company that offered a job, but we turned down, back in April. They got a hold of his resume and wanted to hire him for another position that opened up. So on Monday, July 26th, hubby gave them a call. They told him that they would like to interview him Tuesday morning. GREAT! So Tuesday morning came and he was able to do a phone interview with them. By Tuesday afternoon they called back with an offer!! Can you believe it? After all those sought after positions God brought this job to him. Amazing! Simply amazing!! God is so good!
It doesn't stop there. Soon after we were sitting down planning our budget and we realized that our rebuilding fund would be really tight. We sold all but one piece of furniture so we'll have to start from scratch when we get to Hawaii. The idea of my beloved selling his Mustang was always on the table. But it was always the final option. My beloved was often reluctant to sell it especially since it was his first "new", "nice" car. He's always had a clunker but this one was one he was hoping to keep forever. But to my surprise, he agreed to sell it. Just like the job we made every effort to sell it on craigslist but no success. Instead God brings a buyer to us! We were able to sell the Mustang for asking price! Again God provided for our need!
Our pastor at Island Grace Church said something about our plans to move that really stuck to us. He said, "If it's God's will for you guys to be here in Hawaii, your move ought to be effortless. God will provide for everything you need." Ain't that the truth!
So as we spend our last few days here we get so excited to share how God met our every need! We give all glory to God! There is nothing that we can take "credit" for. He's done it all!
Do not worry then, saying, "What will we eat?" or "What will we drink?"' or "What will we wear for clothing?" For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:31-33)
