Day 6

I woke up this morning with only a few hours of sleep.  I stayed up later than I had wanted to last night and I needed to get up earlier than usual so that I can bake some ensaymadas for breakfast.  So with my eyes half opened I pulled out the borrowed bread machine (Thanks, Vicky!) and started my ensaymada adventure.

These babies were really easy to make! Although I think I should have waited to let the liquids get to room temperature before using them.  They were yummy when they came out of the oven but were a little hard.  I think when I make these again, I'll leave more time for the dough to rise and make sure the liquids are room temp.

This afternoon I had the pleasure of fellowshipping with two wonderful ladies from Island Grace Church. We go together to make our own laundry detergent! You heard right, we made laundry detergent!  It's so very easy and only takes 3 ingredients to make!! I'll blog more bout this at Keeper of Her Home so stay tuned!

When the kids got home from school (and after they finished their homework) we hung out with our neighbor and her daughter in "the field".  It was a really fun time hanging out and just getting to know them. On our way home, we met another neighbor and his four kids! Wow!! All this time I thought our kids were the only kids on this side of the complex.  Haha!!  Praise God for allowing us to meet them!
